Ronald L. Wolfson, M.D.
Dr. Ron Wolfson graduated AOA from the University of Illinois Medical School, interned there in Medicine, and then entered the U.S.P.H.S. in Atlanta, Georgia. After completing his service obligation, he finished his medical training with a 2-year residency in Internal Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Michigan and a 2-year fellowship in Allergy, Asthma, and Clinical Immunology at The Scripps Clinic in La Jolla, California. He was happy to bring a West Coast point of view of allergy, asthma, and immunology to the Chicago greater western suburbs, adding to his solid grounding in Illinois medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Allergy Asthma and Clinical Immunology (ACAACI) and the American Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI). He belongs to numerous medical societies starting with the Kane County Medical Society on up to the AMA and numerous other research and academic organizations. He has been in practice since 1973.
Carole Wolfson, APN
Carole Wolfson, APN serves the Allergy and Asthma Clinics of Fox Valley as the Nurse Practitioner. In that capacity, she sees patients equally with Dr. Wolfson, directs the nursing staff, and is responsible for all medical aspects of the operation of the clinic. She reports all difficult problems to Dr. Wolfson, and together they see patients, plan solutions, make diagnoses, and devise creative and patient-centered treatment plans. Together, their combined experience and slightly different points of view come together to offer their patients superior skills.
Carole attended Lewis University, trained in nursing, and became a registered nurse here in Illinois. She still felt driven to know and do more. She then gained a Master of Science advanced degree in nursing with dual specialties in pediatrics and allergy-asthma at Rush University.
Nursing Staff
Andrea P. has been with us for 15 years dividing her time between allergy and asthma diagnosis and treatment and being a loving and devoted mother.
Lily, C.M.T. has helped us in all allergy and asthma activities particularly at the front desk, answering phones, welcoming and signing out patients, making and remaking appointments, and everything else “office.” She’s also a med tech and backs up the nurses whenever asked. She is fluent in Spanish, though born here, and comes from a rich and cultured life experience. Her help translating is invaluable, and her basic skills are prized here by all.
Kelsey B. joined the Allergy/Asthma Clinic in 2015. She earned her degree from Harper College. She has experience treating children as she also works in the nurses’ office for a local school district.
Office Staff
Katie L. is our office manager and works hard to keep up with Dr. Wolfson. She has a special interest in the accounting field and devotes at least three days a week to the clinic.
Nancy S. has worked with us for over 24 years. We look forward to many more years with her and everything she brings to us with her charm and grace. Nancy simply does everything.
